Baby Steps Perinatal Fitness started in 2008 while my wife, Juliann, was pregnant with our first child. After 7 years
as a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), I was naturally inclined to explore the correlation between
exercise and pregnancy. What I discovered was an abundance of information in support of exercise throughout
pregnancy. This inspired me to become certified as a Pre/Postnatal Exercise Specialist (AFPA) with the goal being
to positively influence the health of both mother and baby during this exciting, but daunting nine-month journey.
Currently Baby-steps personal trainers aim to provide pregnant women with the physical strength and motivation
necessary to give themselves and their babies the healthiest start possible. We do this by providing unparalleled
education, encouragement and accountability regarding exercise, fitness and nutrition for today’s mother-to-be.
